What’s keeping Isha Koppikar busy these days? She has been shooting for Ram Gopal Verma’s Shabri, where she plays a criminal kingpin. We hear the deglamourised avatar of the actress has often caused her inconvenience.

She says, “We have been shooting in this chawl and everyday there’re some hundred onlookers. One time, my production controller refused to get me in on set, as he couldn’t recognise me. Even executive producers get confused and fail to identify me in my get-up. Later on they’d come and apologise and I would say, “Superb!” I’m glad that I look very convincing.”

This is probably the one time that an actress considered being a plain-Jane a compliment.
